This deeply relaxing treatment uses specific massage techniques to achieve facial rejuvenation. It is a natural approach and enhances the complexion by freeing constrictions within the facial muscles and connective tissues.
The face and the neck are massaged slowly and systematically promoting the release of deep-seated tensions, thereby increasing the circulation to the muscles, helping to soften and improve the appearance of fine lines and bringing volume and fullness to tired tissues. The treatment helps bring awareness to holding patterns of muscular facial tension, such as the chewing muscles and areas around the eyes and the forehead, encouraging a deep state of tranquillity.
Clients often report sleeping better and gaining relief from sinus problems, headaches and other stress related symptoms. This is a wonderful stand alone treatment but also works very well combined with a foot massage to connect and balance the whole body and provide an extra pampering experience.
REFLEXOLOGY
Reflexology is an ancient healing art that is believed to date back to early civilisations. It is based on the principle that there are points on the feet that correspond to all parts of the body. In modern day Reflexology each foot is divided into 5 energy zones or channels. It is believed that any blockage in these energy zones may lead to changes in health and wellbeing.
Reflexology can be beneficial for a number of complaints. It is of particular help in stress related conditions as one of the main aims of your treatment will be to induce a deep state of relaxation – releasing built up tensions in your body to allow a free flow of energy throughout.
For maximum benefit it is recommended to have a course of treatments as each session builds upon the work of the previous one, however, one or two sessions can also be good at times of high stress or if you just feel the need for a bit of pampering.
This is a deeply relaxing foot and lower leg massage treatment using a special small bowl made from a metal alloy (Kansa) consisting of copper, zinc and tin. In Ayurveda this is known as the 'healing metal'. Copper is thought to help in reducing pain and inflammation, zinc in aiding the digestive and immune systems and tin in helping digestion, headaches and insomnia. In the Ayurvedic tradition, foot massage is said to balance the body's doshas (constitutions) and free the energy flow throughout the body.
During your treatment attention will be given to massaging the special 7 marma points (Ayurvedic pressure points) on each lower limb. It is thought that working these points may help relieve certain conditions around the body as well as nourishing the skin and improving blood and lymph circulation. It relaxes the muscles in the legs and feet and can soothe an agitated mind therefore helping to alleviate stress and anxiety.
This treatment is very enjoyable on its own and is also ideal for combining with other treatments such as reflexology or facial massage.
AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE
Aromatherapy massage can be a very calming and soothing treatment to receive as the oils are working on a physiological and emotional level. Maximum benefit can be gained from a course of treatments, but this therapy is also wonderful to experience for occasional relaxation, stress relief and/or pampering and would make an excellent gift for a friend or loved one.
